What is Happening at KPRHS.....
Metacomet (Student Newspaper)
Join the Metacomet! Meetings are every 2nd and 4th Monday after school in Room 317 until 3PM. There is a informational meeting on Monday, September 22nd
Debate Club
The Debate Club is open to students from all grades that like to argue, are interested in current events, and want to work on public speaking. Meetings are every Tuesday in room 208 after school until 3. 
Key Club
Congratulations to Kyle Maloney, Clara Forbes, and Carly Schnabel for becoming the newest members of the Key Club for earning high honors for six terms. As a result, they are entitled to free admittance to any and all school functions at King Philip, both social and athletic, with the exception of the Junior and Senior Proms. 
Inter-Club Council
The first Inter-Club Council Meeting is being held on Friday, September 26th at 7AM in the Library. Any leaders of groups at KPHS should contact Eddie Cullinane for more information. Additional information about the ICC is available on the Inter-Club Council Page under the Activities tab. 
Debate Club

2014 Music Fall Preview Show
Please join director Joshua O. Wolloff and the King Philip Marching Band for their first public performance of "On the Town. " Admission is free and refreshments will be served by the King Philip Music Association. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 6PM at KPHS. 
Spanish National Honor Society
If you are interested in being part of the Spanish National Honor Society, applications are now available outside of Sra. Abeille's room 118. Applications are due by October 1st and late applications will not be accepted. For more information contact Sra. Abeille or Erin Manchuso. 

SNHS Meetings will be held every month on the second Thursday in Room 118. Meetings will start in the month of October. 
KP Cares Chop to Stop / Shave to Save
KP Cares is holding a Chop to Stop / Shave to Save Haircut-a-thon on Monday September 29th to raise awarness for Pediatric Cancer and money for the Jimmy Fund. For more information or to sign up to donate your hair or shave your head, please contact Cheryl Rowe in the Library. rowec@kingphilip.org 
Musical Opportunity
Are you musically talented? Do you like to perform? Is your musical group unique? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please see Dr. Oliveira for an opportunity to perform at the KPMA Musical Mile 5K Road Race. The Race is November 23rd and benefits the KPMA and the Turf Field Project. All musical groups interested are welcome and should see Dr. Oliveira by October 3rd
KP GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance)
Attention all students: come and check out the KP-GSA, King Philip HIgh School's Gay-Straight Alliance club. We meet every Wednesday in room 339. The purpose of the KP-GSA is to provide a non-judgmental, supportive, safe place, where kids of all sexualities can feel accepted. It serves as a social club and also as a vehicle for education of club members and King Philip High School. If you have any questions please contact faculty sponsors Dr. Sheble (Room 147) or Mrs. Metcalf (Room 229). 

Marching Band Practice on the Main Parking Lot
Student drivers are reminded that they must move their cars out of the parking lot by 5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Marching Band Practice 5:30pm-8:30pm.  If a student driver has a practice, home game or an away game and is not sure if they are able to move their car by 5:00pm they must move their car before going to practice, home game or getting on the bus for an away game.  Anyone who violates the parking rule will lose parking privileges. 

Turf Field Golf Tournament Tuesday, October 7, 2014
We  are having a golf tournament to raise money for a synthetic turf field.  Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Wentworth Hill CC in Plainville MA - Cost is $150.00 per golfer

The King Philip Warrior Turf Field Committee is offering several sponsorship opportunities. 

They are offering a Parking Lot Lightpole Flag for a donation of $2,500. This flag includes your family's name or your company's name. A model flag is below.
